Wasim Jaffer and Michael Vaughan do not miss an opportunity to make fun of each other on social media. It looks like both ex-Indian batters and ex-England captains won’t back down from needling each other over the performance of their countries at the cricket pitch. Jaffer and Vaughan engage in witty banter when India or England don’t perform well on the field. What’s nice about it is that both ex-cricketers are absolutely unfailingly nice. They’re always just kidding around.
Vaughan revealed why he and India cricketer R Ashwin are constantly attacking each other online during a recent conversation. In response to Ashwin’s question, the former England captain revealed the truth about his relationship with Jaffer, which amounted to twenty years ago. As part of India’s second innings at Lord’s during the first Test against England in 2002, Jaffer hit a half-century before nicking Vaughan to Nasser Hussain in the slip cordon. This was the beginning.
”The answer Vaughan gave to Ashwin’s question about Sachin Tendulkar’s wicket in Nottingham was that Sachin was being nice to me, while Wasim was not bowled. The ball got through to Wasim. We’re having a good time. I’m having a lot of fun and I am sure he has something by now, but he hasn’t visited Twitter today,” stated Vaughan during a recent interview with the press.
