Australia are finally in to their last stage of preparation with a full squad as Marcus Stoinis is back. They will have to decide how they use Steve Smith though given Tim David’s rise. For England, Ben Stokes is back in the T20 side for the first time since 2021, and it will be interesting to see how he comes into the side.

The weather is clear during the AUS vs ENG fixture
Perth is normally known for its pace and bounce. the new ground though is a little flatter and batting should be easy. Batting second will be a better option.
David Warner, Cameron Green, Aaron Finch, Mitchell Marsh, Marcus Stoinis, Tim David, Matthew Wade, Daniel Sams, Ashton Agar, Nathan Ellis, Kane Richardson
Jos Buttler, Phil Salt, Dawid Malan, Ben Stokes, Harry Brook, Moeen Ali, Sam Curran, Mark Wood, Adil Rashid, Reece Topley, David Willey
Ben Stokes is back in T20Is after over an year. He is now only a two format player and will want to erase memories of his last T20 World Cup outing soon. He still does not have an established role in the T20 format, but indications are that he will bat in the top four this time. With strong abilities while batting and bowling, he is a key player for England, and his flexibility will provide England with a new dimension.
Marcus Stoinis back in the eleven and has some work ahead. With David and Green on the rise, he will need to be at his best as his fitness keeps failing on him. He is a strong asset in the side, but will need to find a way to keep himself fit for longer periods.

Australia are playing at home but are experimenting a touch while England look a little closer to full strength. With the strength in England’s line-up they should find the upcoming game easier.
