Another high-profile game at Melbourne is upon us. England take on Australia in what could be a packed stadium. With both teams at similar stages the upcoming game could well decide who goes on to make the Semi-Finals from this group. Both England and Australia are struggling up front and will want the likes of Jos Buttler and David Warner to step up from their sides respectively.

Date: 28th October 2022
Time: 1:30 PM IST
Venue: Melbourne
Melbourne is clear with the storm passing through and a full game is on the cards.
The Melbourne track is swinging and the new-ball bowlers are likely to have a lot of assistance. Batting first is a better option.
Jos Buttler, Alex Hales, Dawid Malan, Ben Stokes, Liam Livingstone, Moeen Ali, Sam Curran, Dawid Willey, Adil Rashid, Mark Wood, Chris Jordan.
David Warner, Aaron Finch, Mitchell Marsh, Glenn Maxwell, Tim David, Marcus Stoinis, Matthew Wade, Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Adam Zampa, Josh Hazlewood.
Last years player of the tournament is off to a silent start. Normally, David Warner is really good in Australian conditions but he is yet to set the tournament alight in his own style. Two games in, a big score should be around the corner. With Aaron Finch struggling for his own timing, a good innings from Warner will help ease up the pressure at the top and should allow Finch to move ahead with ease.
In high-profile encounters it is often the best players in the side that are looked at. Jos Buttler, like David Warner has been silent this tournament but with a really big game and a large crowd ahead of him, he could come into his own. He loves the challenge, and a decent start for him will send ominous signs through the rest of the tournament.

Australia are a different side in ICC events. While England won the series prior to the World Cup, Australia could come in and surprise England, given their performance on the big stage and the fact that they are the home side.
