Australia and Zimbabwe take each other on after a long time in Australia. AUS vs ZIM has had some history in the olden days but is a long lost battle with Zimbabwe struggling to fight and Australia growing more and more over the years. In recent games though, Zimbabwe are starting to fight back and bring in some new players. They have a full strength Australian side against them though and it will be a very big challenge for them to compete against a side that looks very settled.
Played- 30 | Zimbabwe- 2 | Australia- 27 | No Result- 1
Date: 28th August 2022
Time: 5:10 AM IST
Venue: Townsville, Australia
The weather at Townsville is clear.
With the Australian summer yet to start the Townsville track is likely to be flat. It has been a while since an international game has been held in Townsville and a flat track is expected helping sides batting second.
Aaron Finch, David Warner, Steve Smith, Alex Carey, Mitchell Marsh, Marcus Stoinis, Glenn Maxwell, Cameron Green, Mitchell Starc, Adam Zampa, Josh Hazlewood
Innocent Kaia, Takudzwanashe Kaitano, Sean Williams, Sikandar Raza, Regis Chakabva, Tony Munyonga, Ryan Burl, Luke Jongwe, Blessing Muzarabani, Brad Evans, Richard Ngavara
Sikandar Raza almost carried his side home against India in a thrilling encounter. With a tough opposition against him he will have to do the same again. He is in top form and Zimbabwe will be relying on him heavily as they look to find a way to compete in Australia.
David Warner has matured as a batter over the years. Along with his aggressive batting, his running between wickets is proving to be a massive weapon for Australia. He has improved against spin as well and is probably the most daunting batter in the Australian line-up.

Beating Australia in home is a very tough ask for any side. Zimbabwe are improving but the upcoming task may be a bridge too far for them.
