However, England was not left behind. They also give a tricky start. After the PowerPlay in BAN vs ENG, they were 50/1, and after losing Dawid Malan, Philip Salt, and Moeen Ali targeted Bangladesh. Taskin Ahmed’s special bowling spell gave only 19 runs in just 3 overs, which bowled in the powerplay of the game. It wasn’t until the final over of the PowerPlay that Nasum Ahmed was bowled for 13 runs, allowing England to reach the total after the first six.

Following that, England continued to lose wickets and confidence. England captain Jos Buttler said in post-presentation of BAN vs ENG, “I thought it was an outstanding bowling performance to defend a low total, we bowled without luck as well but really proud of everyone’s effort”.
To give some more push Buttler added “It was a different game of T20 cricket, exciting as well but credit to Bangladesh. There is no good way to get out, but it was a tough wicket to start on and Duckett was doing well, we needed someone to stay with him.”
