After a couple days full of rain, the World Cup moves to Brisbane, which seems like a new country given the sun on offer. Zimbabwe are currently third on the table. Bangladesh are a point behind, and are struggling with the bat this tournament. Zimbabwe though are fighting hard. They won a dogfight against Pakistan as they defended 130, and a win against Bangladesh will keep them silently hoping for a spot in the top two. The upcoming game is very crucial though, if they are to harbor hopes of making the next round.
Played- 19 | Zimbabwe – 7 | Bangladesh – 12 | No Result- 0 | Tie- 0
Date: 30th October 2022
Time: 8:30 PM IST
Venue: Gabba, Brisbane
The weather is good and a full game is on the cards.
The Gabba track is one of the fastest in Australia. The boundaries are also quiet big, but run scoring should remain easy, and batting second will be a better option.
Regis Chakabva (wk), Craig Ervine (c), Wesley Madhevere, Sean Williams, Sikandar Raza, Milton Shumba, Ryan Burl, Tony Munyonga, Richard Ngarava, Tendai Chatara, Blessing Muzarabani
Soumya Sarkar, Litton Das, Shakib Al Hasan, Afif Hossain, Yasir Ali, Nurul Hasan (wk), Mosaddek Hossain, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Taskin Ahmed, Shoriful Islam, Hasan Mahmud
In the last few months, Sikandar Raza has been in some really good form. He is Zimbabwe’s best player at the moment and will be a big factor as Zimbabwe look to extend their run and fight for a semi finals spot.
Bangladesh’s bowling is doing well but the batting line-up needs to step up. They have talent in Litton Das, but he will have to step up if Bangladesh are to build on their solitary win in the previous game.

Bangladesh has had the better of Zimbabwe in the past. Given Zimbabwe’s recent form and Sikandar Raza though, Zimbabwe are favorites to win the upcoming contest.
