Unlike last season Barbados Royals are looking very good this time around. The team has some in form consistent batters with Kyle Mayers holding fort well, and Jason Holder providing stability in the back end. There are also some new players contributing and at this rate, BR might pop up as silent contenders mainly due to Kyle Mayers doing a great job in the middle.
SLK are not far behind. They are coming in off a loss but have a solid line-up of their own. There are areas for them to assess but they look ready.
Played- 18 | BR- 11 | SLK- 7 | Tie- 0
Date: 4th September 2022
Time: 7:30 PM IST
Venue: Basseterre, St Kitts
The weather is nice and pleasant for the upcoming game with no chance of rain.
The CPL is normally full of fun and full of runs. The boundary is not too big and with a flat and fresh pitch batting will be easy. Batting second is a better option.
Kyle Mayers, Quinton De Kock/ Devon Thomas, Justin Greaves, David Miller, Harry Tector, Azam Khan, Jason Holder, Rahkeem Cornwall, Oshane Thomas, Joshua Bishop, Hayden Walsh
Faf Du Plessis, Johnson Charles, Ackeem Auguste, Roston Chase, Tim David, David Wiese, Kesrick Williams, Jeavor Royal, Mark Deyal, Larry Edward, Alzarri Joseph
Going by his form, this season is up for grabs for Kyle Mayers. He is in incredible form and has a lot of potential this time to create a huge impact on the CPL and his own career. He can cause an impact with both bat and ball and is a strong contender for the player of the tournament award this year.
Tim David is all set to begin his international career. He is going to the World Cup and will be very eager to be at his best for the big event. His skillset is an impressive one as there are not many strikers as clean as him.

Barbados come into this game as favorites. While SLK are a good side, BR are looking good with a stable line-up and this should help them go through the game with ease.
