Against all odds and predictions, the Gujarat Titans won their inaugural IPL season. The management team has beautifully and successfully employed resources and strategy. The Gujarat Titans, led by Hardik Pandya, won the championship and will seek to maintain their domination.
There are presently a few holes on GT’s roster, which they would ideally attempt to address in the mini-auction. After the retention, Hardik Pandya’s club would still have Rs 19.75 crore in their coffers. Let’s take a look at three players who the Gujarat Titans might pursue in the IPL 2023 auction.
Tamil Nadu batsman Narayan Jagadeesan shattered world records in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2023 after being released by Chennai Super Kings, becoming the first-ever batsman in the game’s history to score five consecutive List-A centuries, the last of which was a mammoth inning of 277 runs off 141 balls – the highest-ever individual List-A score in men’s cricket.
Jagadeesan, known for his stoic presence in the middle and calm demeanour, might serve as a link between the Titans’ aggressive openers and the lower-middle order of Pandya, Miller, and Tewatia. With a great Indian hitter in the lineup, the Titans would be able to deploy an extra foreign fast bowler or all-rounder.
The Titans will look to bring in top-tier foreign pacers and all-rounders to replace the gap left by the departures of players like Ferguson, Dominic Drakes, Gurkeerat Singh, and Varun Aaron. Jason Holder, who was released by the Lucknow Super Giants, is expected to get interested by several clubs due to his great all-around ability.

Holder, the most experienced international player, is adept at bowling with the new ball and in the death overs, as well as slogging hard in the last overs. The Titans may make a big offer for the West Indian all-rounder to capture his services and strengthen their team.
By releasing Lockie Ferguson and Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Gujarat Titans must have fallen short of a pacer and an opening batter in their squad and given, Cameron Green can open the batting for the team and can bowl consistently at 130-140 kmph, the Gujarat Titans will go after him in the IPL auction 2023.
