Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium (Lucknow) will host the 16th match of the IPL 2025, Lucknow Super Giants vs Mumbai Indians (LSG vs MI), on Friday night (April 4).

While it will be the fourth game for both teams, LSG and MI both recorded one win and two losses.

Despite their dominating performance, LSG suffered a one-wicket defeat against Delhi Capitals while beating the IPL 2024 runners-up SunRisers Hyderabad by five wickets. However, they suffered an eight-wicket thrashing defeat against Punjab Kings in their last fixture.

MI started the IPL 2025 with two defeats against Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans by four wickets and 36 runs, respectively. But in their last game, the five-time IPL champions outclassed defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders by eight wickets.

Despite some strong performances from Mitchell Marsh and Nicholas Pooran, LSG batting has majorly disappointed, including the skipper and most expensive cricketer in IPL auction history, Rishabh Pant. Meanwhile, Shardul Thakur needs help from other bowlers, while Akash Deep is on the verge of a return.

MI batting is still under the scanner, while their bowling is really strong, even in the absence of Jasprit Bumrah.
