Cricket has gone through numerous changes throughout the years, and the shift will continue in the future. The introduction of ODIs affected several facets of the game, including the format, rules, and even the ball's colour. Coloured jerseys were also used in tradition to provide a fresh dimension to the gentlemen's game.

Previously, teams wore white uniforms, and there was little distinction in the dress of all sides. This added a new dimension to the game since supporters could distinguish between the two teams. Starting around the mid-1980s and 1990s, many teams have donned their respective colours in style and have made themselves different from the rest. With that said, here are the top 10 international cricket jerseys ever made.

2011 Cricket World Cup (India)

No wonder this has to be a part of the list of top cricket jerseys, but it also has hitched a special place in many Indian cricket fanatics' hearts. It was their second-ever CWC triumph held in 2011 amongst their fanatics.

Also, this was India's sole World Cup victory in coloured jersey, which occurred in 2011, the last time the championship was staged on the subcontinent. They used a somewhat deeper shade of blue, with the team name, player name, and jersey numbers inscribed in orange.

1999 Cricket World Cup (Australia)

Amongst their colossal range of jerseys, the Aussies side's 1999 CWC jersey stands out from the rest. A new take on the Southern Cross stands is a fantastic place to start, and the (very) brilliant yellow is easy to spot. Those stars on the sleeves and collar are spectacular, as were many of the Australians' performances, with Shane Warne, Steve Waugh, Mark Waugh, Ricky Ponting, and Glenn McGrath all playing essential roles in clinching Australia's second men's ODI title.

2019 Cricket World Cup (South Africa)

The South African squad, or the Proteas side, is the official underperformer in World Cricket. There is no disputing that the club has an excellent group. As the name says, one of their most fantastic jerseys came during their 2019 Cricket World Cup appearance, effectively representing the many green colours.

The sleeves were fashioned of a dark green with many black tones. They also had a second jersey, the traditional yet eye-catching mix of yellow shirt and green sports pants.

2003 Cricket World Cup (India)

The Indian cricket side has since adopted sky blue as their signature colour, and 2003 stands out as a classic for the fanatics. Sachin Tendulkar was in his prime, with a string of runs propelling his country to the World Cup final for the first time in 20 years.

A basic kit with gold text on a light blue foundation, an artistic rendition of the Indian flag beneath, and a few dark blue accents on the shoulders and sleeves, maybe as a tribute to the first courageous Indians who ran out in navy in 1992.

2003 Cricket World Cup (Netherlands)

Regarding cricket uniforms, the Dutch have many options, with the vivid orange of their national teams constantly standing out. Their 2003 CWC jersey is primarily based on the gold lion from their cricket board's insignia, with the big lion's sword and crown directly under the name, "Holland".

The navy collar provides a beautiful contrast. The 2003 World Cup had a crowded field of fabulous outfits, and the Netherlands undoubtedly merits consideration.

2019 Cricket World Cup (England)

England advanced to the 1992 World Cup final but lost to Pakistan while wearing a baby blue template uniform. In 2019, they were determined to go one step further on both fronts and succeeded.

The softer tone was a significant departure from the dark blue on which they had relied mainly since 1999. We adore a nostalgic throwback, and the English pulled it off magnificently.

2021 T20 World Cup (Scotland)

Scotland was a contender in the 2021 T20 World Cup held in Dubai. Including their stellar and underdog performance, one more highlight would be their jersey and how it was created. The design was created by a 12-year-old prodigy, Rebecca Downie, as a part of the team's competition of choosing its jersey design from children.

The design, based on the hues of Purple & Violet from Scotland's national emblem, The Thistle, was picked from over 200 entries from school children across Scotland and overwhelmingly approved by the team, where they proudly donned the jersey in 2021 T20 World Cup.

1996 Cricket World Cup (West Indies)

Despite their grand past, the West Indies have produced a succession of relatively simple and intriguing kits in the men's ODI World Cup.

While all teams used the same uniform pattern in 1996, the Windies' maroon seemed to fit better than others. With the maroon floppy, this is a clear winner.

1999 Cricket World Cup (New Zealand)

The New Zealand uniform during the 199 CWC splits has garnered a lot of opinions but is one of the highlighting uniforms in its cricketing history. The Kiwis chose an outlandish electric blue instead of the grey they had used in 1992 and 1996.

The national silver fern' is prominently displayed on the breast five times and imprinted on the cap and pants. Perhaps regrettably, New Zealand has worn entirely all-black at subsequent World Cups.

2017 Champions Trophy (India)

India's 2017 Champions Trophy has to be one of the best jerseys the arsenal has ever donned. This uniform symbolised how beautiful the optimum mix of Indian colours would look. The subtle play on different hues of blue works well and adds aesthetic value.

The jersey's elaborate pattern and textures, albeit not visible from a distance, demonstrate significant work. The orange collar is another beautiful detail that lends a feeling of contrast to the otherwise quite identical jersey.
