Top 3 players to check out from Bangladesh in the 2024 Women's T20 World Cup:
Nigar Sultana Joty
Nigar Sultana Joty, the Captain of the Women's Bangladesh team, would be one of the primary captain-batters to check out from the Bangla Tigers side. Nigar's batting is a mix of aggressive and composed approach, and she prefers to take her time before making a stroke.
As a consequence, she is pretty dependable when it comes to handling difficult circumstances and challenging bowling assaults. Nigar can undoubtedly improve her batting skills, which she will be eager to work on as she advances. In her 99 matches T20I stint, she has made 1944 runs, averaging over 27.
Fahima Khatun
Fahima Khatun has been one of the most reliable spinners for the Bangladesh side. Keeping in mind the spin-friendly conditions in UAE, it is not a surprise to find her being one of the players to watch out for in the upcoming intense tournament.
Notably, Khatun is the first Bangladeshi cricketer to score a hat-trick in a Women's Twenty20 International match, having accomplished this accomplishment on July 10, 2018, during the ICC Women's World Twenty20 Qualifier event against the United Arab Emirates. In her T20I stint, she played 84 matches and scalped over 50 wickets at a commendable economy of over five.
Rabeya Khan
Rabeya Khan, the right-arm leg-break bowler, was Bangladesh's highest wicket-taker in the 2024 Women's Asia Cup, where she scalped four wickets in four matches.
As mentioned earlier about the spin conditions in UAE, Rabeya Khan and Fahima Khatun will create a robust spinners duo for the Bangladesh side, which will help scalp wickets and restrict the overflow of runs. In her T20I stint, she has scalped 31 wickets in 29 matches at an outstanding economy of 5.15.
