Adil Rashid, England’s premium leg-spinner will be on a leave from the Indian White ball series. Both England and Yorkshire have allowed him to take a break and go for the Haj Pilgrimage in Mecca. All adult Muslims take to undertake the pilgrimage once and Adil Rashid has decided that this is the time for him. With the year going well, he will be on a break and is expected to return for England’s next assignments.

With the England line-up pretty flexible and diverse, Adil Rashid has stated that it was easy to get a green light for this trip. However, Adil Rashid is a regular in the side and the best leg-spinner on the team at the moment. In his place, Matt Parkinson has a chance to get in the side. Furthermore, Parkinson is a pretty good and traditional leg-spinner himself. Additionally, He is a regular in the Test squad and even has a Test match to his name. The upcoming tour is a nice experience for him considering the reputation of the opposition.

Along with Parkinson, Moeen Ali is in the side as an off-spinning all-rounder. Moeen Ali is in pretty good form himself and will play all the games. He has a good record against some of the Indian batters like Virat Kohli and will play a huge role with the ball. However, Adil Rashid himself has a good record against Kohli, but will remain unavailable for the upcoming series.

Adil Rashid is available for England’s future assignments. There is a strong chance that he will make a comeback in Test Cricket as well. With Brendon McCullum and Ben Stokes looking to change their style of Test Cricket, Adil Rashid is one player who could fit into their scheme of things. The first Test is on July 1st. After the Test, there are six 6 white-ball games.
