Leg-spinner Allah Ghazanfar of Afghanistan has been dropped from the team which will take part in ICC Champions Trophy 2025 after being ruled out due to a major back injury by Afghanistan. Afghanistan still has to recover from Zimbabwe tour Afghanistan fractured his on that tour. This injury will mean he needs a lot of rest in which case we could be talking several months off cricket.

Afghanistan team hit a hard blow without Ghazanfar. Army will be missing a key piece of the puzzle in team’s bowling attack with veteran spinners Rashid Khan & Mohammad Nabi — Kabir hoped to lead the charge alongside his illustrious counterparts.
