Awe-inspiring all rounder uncertain in T20 world cup!

The swashbuckling all-rounder has not been bowling for Mumbai Indians, two years after undergoing a back surgery in the UK. Hence, uncertain for selection in the T20 World Cup Squad.

The final 15-member squad needs to be submitted to the ICC by October 10. Pandya sat out Mumbai Indians’ first two matches after the resumption because of a quibble.His failure to bowl in the IPL is going to cost him heavily as his selection in the T20 World Cup squad remains uncertain.

There’s a good chance that spinner Yuzvendra Chahal could be remunerated for his consistent IPL performances. Mumbai Indians coach Mahela Jayawardene has admitted that there could be an issue with Pandya’s fitness if he is forced to bowl now. That has set the alarm bells ringing among the national selectors. Pandya deteriorates the team balance since he has been renowned for his all-round abilities. Chief selector Chetan Sharma had said  Pandya would be available to bowl his quota of overs.

We are awaiting the team management’s views. The Indian support staff will leave for Dubai on Friday barring head coach Ravi Shastri. If Pandya is left out, Shardul Thakur or Deepak Chahar, from among the reserves, will make the squad. 

India has flourishing new faces, so India is supposedly at a safe side. Talking about Varun Chakravarthy, said to be the mystery spinner, has shown huge improvement. Any changes after the deadline will have to be cleared by the tournament’s technical committee, and we are looking forward to that, as T20 world cup is such an important tournament, not only for India, but for the world.
