The Bangladesh cricket team isn’t far away from their historic Test series win in the ongoing Pakistan tour. On the fourth day of the ongoing second or last Test of the series at Rawalpindi, Bangladesh pacers dominated over the hosts.
After winning the series opener by 10 wickets, Bangladesh have mostly maintained their control in the ongoing second or last Test of the series. Although the visitors were once in a horrible situation at 26/6 in the reply to Pakistan’s first innings 274 runs, Bangladesh have made a solid comeback in the Test match.
Pakistan only managed to earn a 12-run lead at the end of Bangladesh’s first innings of the ongoing Rawalpindi Test. After allowing the visitors to score 262 runs in their first innings, Pakistan ended the day three on 9/2.
Bangladesh pacers shined on the fourth day of the ongoing Rawalpindi Test as they bundled out the hosts for 172 runs. Only wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan (43) and Salman Agha (47*) provided some fightback in the hosts' batting line-up.
Chasing down the 185-run target in the fourth innings, Bangladesh openers ended the day on 42/0. Zakir Hasan was not out on 31 runs, and Shadman Islam remained unbeaten on nine runs.

First time Bangladesh pacers took all ten wickets in a Test innings
Bangladesh pacers picked up all ten wickets during Pakistan’s second innings of the ongoing Rawalpindi Test. While Hasan Mahmud claimed a five-wicket haul (10.4-43-5), Nahid Rana secured a four-fer (11-1-44-4), and Taskin Ahmed bagged one wicket (10-1-40-1).
It was the first time that Bangladesh pacers took all 10 wickets in a Test innings.
It was the 18th time in Test cricket history that the touring pacers claimed all ten wickets in an innings in Pakistan. However, Bangladesh pacers only became the second team to record all ten wickets in a Test innings in Pakistan in the 21st century. During the 2006 Karachi Test, the Indian pacers recorded ten wickets in the first innings. It was the same innings where the Indian left-arm pacer Irfan Pathan recorded a hat-trick in the first over of the match.
Bangladesh pacers equalled their record for most wickets in a Test match
Bangladesh pacers took 14 wickets in the ongoing Rawalpindi Test. It equalled their record of most wickets by the Bangladesh pacers in a Test match. During the 2023 Mirpur Test against Afghanistan, Bangladesh pacers took 14 wickets.
Bangladesh pacers levelled their record for most wickets in a Test series
On the other hand, Bangladesh pacers picked up 21 wickets in the ongoing two-match Test series. It also equalled the record for most wickets by Bangladesh pacers in a Test series. During Bangladesh's tour of Zimbabwe in 2013, Bangladesh pacers collected 21 wickets in the two-match Test series.
Since the international cricket return to Pakistan following the 2009 terrorist attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team’s bus, Bangladesh pacers have produced the best visiting team performances in a Test series in Pakistan with 21 wickets.
