While the Indian team is busy handling New Zealand in the home Test series, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the men’s national cricket team squad for the next two important away series.
After the completion of the ongoing three-match home Test series against New Zealand, where the hosts India are trailing by 1-0 and fighting in the second Test at Pune, they will then travel to South Africa for a four-match T20I series. After completion of the T20I series, India will tour Australia for a five-match Test series (Border-Gavaskar Trophy), a part of the 2023-2025 ICC World Test Championship.
South Africa vs India T20I series
Durban, Gqeberha, Centurion, and Johannesburg will host the four-match T20I series against India on November 8, 10, 13, and 15, respectively.

Border-Gavaskar Trophy: Australia vs India Test series
The five-match Test series against the hosts Australia will begin on November 22 at the Perth Stadium. Adelaide Oval will host the second Test, starting on December 6, which will be a day/night Test with pink balls.
Brisbane, Melbourne, and Sydney will host the last three Tests, starting on December 14, 26, and January 3, respectively.
Very obvious that both the T20I teams and Test teams are completely different. While Suryakumar Yadav will continue his T20I captaincy, Rohit Sharma will continue his Test captaincy.
Unavailable players
Mayank Yadav and Shivam Dube are unavailable for the T20I series against the hosts South Africa due to injuries. On the other hand, Riyan Parag hasn’t been selected for the T20I squad because he is at the BCCI Centre of Excellence for the long-term resolution of his chronic right shoulder injury.
Meanwhile, Kuldeep Yadav will not travel to Australia because, after the ongoing home Test series against New Zealand, Yadav will be at the BCCI Centre of Excellence for the long-term resolution of his chronic left groin issue.
The BCCI has also named three more pacers in the reserve squad for the Australia tour.
