The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the Indian squad for the upcoming five-match T20I series against Australia. Suryakumar Yadav has been appointed as the captain, with Ruturaj Gaikwad serving as his deputy for the first three games of the series.
Notably, Sanju Samson has been omitted from the squad, while Shreyas Iyer is set to join the team for the concluding T20Is, taking over the vice-captaincy role from Ruturaj Gaikwad for the last two matches. The opening duties will be shouldered by Ishan Kishan, who also serves as the wicketkeeper, and Yashasvi Jaiswal.

In the middle order, Tilak Varma and Rinku Singh will play crucial roles alongside Jitesh Sharma, who is the designated second wicketkeeper. The squad includes three all-rounders: Washington Sundar, Axar Patel, and Shivam Dube, with Axar making a comeback after missing out on the World Cup squad due to injury.
Ravi Bishnoi has been selected as the leg-spinner, while Yuzvendra Chahal, dropped from the Indian squad for the ICC World Cup 2023, is not part of the lineup. The fast-bowling department features young talents Arshdeep Singh, Prasidh Krishna, Avesh Khan, and Mukesh Kumar.
India T20 Squad for Australia:
The T20I series between India and Australia will commence on November 23 in Visakhapatnam, followed by subsequent matches on November 26 in Thiruvananthapuram, November 28 in Guwahati, December 1 in Raipur, and concluding on December 3 in Bengaluru.
