The BCCI said that , they won't let Rohit Sharma, the indian team captian, go to Pakistan for the photo shoot and captain's meeting before the ICC Champions Trophy begins. They're saying, but that's not true, we are not having the game in Pakistan , we will have the game in Dubai instead. Due to this, they want all the things, including the meet of team captains and the photo shoot i, moved to Dubai to. It may seem incongruous, but the BCCI's move to not put 'Pakistan' on Team jersey also.
They're saying, our games are in Dubai, so why put Pakistan's name on our shirts? The ICC, who makes the rules, usually has this particular rule where the host country's name has to be on everyone's jersey. Meanwhile, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is pretty upset. They see this as the BCCI said that any chance to be involved with Pakistan, related to cricket. And it's not the first time. First, the BCCI got the ICC to agree to not have India's matches in Pakistan. Now, they're pushing to have all the early events, such as press talks and photoshoots, moved out of Pakistan.

ICC caved before when India wanted to switch locations for their matches. They said it's minor items compared to that major decision. But still, every little decision just makes more problems. What is the focus of this? It's the BCCI's way to achieve the next level in cricket politics: making absolutely sure their team plays in Dubai not simply to keep their star captain in the game, but also sticking to their decision when it comes to playing in Pakistan.

In truth, a PCB official wasn't happy with how the BCCI is handling things and told IANS that the BCCI's mixing politics with cricket, which is abominable for the game. They're not good with going to Pakistan, they're not sending their team captain to the opening ceremony, and they even have issues with having the host nation's name on their jerseys. The official thinks that the International Cricket Council (ICC) will back Pakistan up and not let this slide. It's interesting to remember that in the 2021 T20 World Cup in the UAE, even though India was technically hosting, Pakistan's jerseys had 'India' written on them as the host country. If India doesn't do the same now, they may potentially be breaking the ICC's rules.
The ICC Champions Trophy is going to start on February 19, despite these problems. All the people are looking to see how the ICC will handle this mess and if they can make it right before the games begin. Despite this commotion, the ICC has a major job to try and make peace between the BCCI and PCB, as the conflict between them becomes worse. Cricket politics is in the spotlight again. Both groups are sticking to their ideas, yet sometimes, yet rarely so, the ICC might play a key role in making fully sure the Champions Trophy goes smoothly.
