The T20I series is set to commence on November 23, merely four days after the World Cup final between India and Australia at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Pace-bowling all-rounder Aaron Hardie has been named as the replacement for David Warner in Australia’s T20 squad for the upcoming series against India. Hardie, who made his T20I and ODI debuts during the South Africa tour in September, is set to step into the lineup in place of the experienced opener. With Warner’s absence, there is speculation that former Australia skipper Steve Smith might be elevated to the opening position, leveraging his stellar performance as an opener for the Sydney Sixers in the previous BBL season.
