Mumbai Indians lost their fourth match in the ongoing IPL 2025 season, where RCB are steaping the high slopes where they achieved their third win of the season. The match was played in the iconic Wankede Stadium, it's been diluted that RCB hasn't won a match in Mumbai for the past 12 years. RCB were confident to break this streak too, as they broke another streak a few days ago, by beating Chennai Super Kings at their home ground and ending their 15-year-old losing streak.
MI luck hasn't worked this season for them as they have lost some close matches that should have been won by them. In Wankhede beating MI is the biggest task for the opposition where they get screwed by a confident MI team. Hardik Pandya has been leading the team wholeheartedly but the end results just won't go in his favour. In this very match too MI captain Hardik won the toss and chose to bowl first

Virat Kohli partnered with young Devdutt Padikkal who was looking the definitely play all along the Wankede Stadium.  Both increased the score tally above 10 0, but against the run of play, Vignesh Puthur the young sensation for MI removed well-settled-looking Devdutt Padikkal.
Then came captain Rajat Patidar who was in attacking mode from ball one itself, Rajat Patidar and Virat Kohli made a partnership of 48 runs, within a few minutes after Virat Kohli departed for 67, but the captain on going with wicketkeeper Jitesh Sharma both jointly made a partnership of 69 runs, with the help of this duo RCB touched the target of 221 runs with the loss of 5 wickets.

MI had a huge mountain to climb but they too have the power hitters who can make any total small. MI began their chase with Rohit Sharma back to the side who attained a knee injury during the practice session of the last game. Though Rohit Sharma started off well but couldn't go on fully when speedster Yash Dayal removed the Indian Captain, Soon load of wickets tumbled MI, though Hardik Pandya and Tilak Varma tried to pull things off but were short by 12 runs.

It was just a heartbreaking moment for the fans where they haven't seen their franchise digging this low. But another incident took place around that period After the match commenced it was seen that a few MI youngsters were taking selfies with the legend Virat Kohli. It is obvious for a youngster or a player to see or play against with legend whom they have been following this close. It would be a natural instinct, but it was a lost match for them and that too was a home match.
The video of a few MI players clicking selfies with Virat Kohli went viral which created a huge amount of depression and dissatisfaction which was seen on the ground. Even a few commented this is not the right time to take selfies you have lost an important match.
