Ellyse Perry has become the sixth woman cricketer to score 9,000 runs in T20 cricket. She reached this milestone during a match in the Women's Premier League (WPL) 2025 while playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

Perry's Performance

Perry scored an unbeaten 49 off 38 balls, hitting 5 fours and 1 six. She built key partnerships:

  • 59 runs with Smriti Mandhana (53) for the second wicket.
  • 53 runs with Richa Ghosh (36) for the third wicket.

WPL's Highest Run-Scorer

With 972 runs in 25 innings, Perry is now the highest run-scorer in WPL history, surpassing Meg Lanning (939 runs in 26 innings).
