England vs India: With KL Rahul’s Awesome Century India Scored 276 for 3 wickets on the scorecard on the first day of the 2nd Test with good support from Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.

As the First test match of England vs India was concluded draw now each team wanted to take a Lead from the Second match and As we know India hadn’t won even a Single Match on Lord’s from 2007 and England Never lost to India from the same year thus It was interesting to see who will take the lead from the First day of the 2nd Test match.

And with the help of KL Rahul’s unbeaten 127 and Rohit Sharma’s 83 helped India end Day 1 of the second Test against England on a commanding 276 for 3 at Lord’s.

England vs India; KL Rahul’s Awesome Century

KL Rahul stitched 126 runs with his opening partner Rohit and then had a 117-run stand with captain Virat Kohli (42) for the third wicket to lay the strong foundation for Indian innings after being put in to bat. Rahul was still going strong after facing 248 balls from which he hit 12 fours and one six.

Ajinkya Rahane was giving him company on 1 at stumps. India lost one wicket on the 4th ball of 84th over of Virat Kholi in the final session after reaching 157 for 2 at tea.

Rohit was bowled by veteran English seamer James Anderson in a post-lunch session after playing a superlative knock of 83, missing out on what would have been a well-deserved century at the Lord’s. Rohit’s 145-ball knock included 11 fours and one six.

Cheteshwar Pujara (9) was the lone failure for India on an opening day. Earlier, India was 46 for no loss at lunch. The lunch break was called early because of rain, which had also delayed the toss.

Joe Root the Captain of England’s Squad said after the Toss “Going to bowl. Obviously a tinge of green but it’s more the overhead conditions. Got three changes: Hameed for Crawley, Wood for Broad, Ali for Lawrence. Do think it will spin at some point, it generally does here. Ali an experienced campaigner, offers us runs and wickets. Anderson went through all of the hurdles you have to jump when you think there could be something wrong. No issues there.”

And like that England Choose to Bowl first but it is not that early to say they might have run out of luck or the Indian team overpowers them on the First Day of the Test with leads to the doubt that England’s team is still green to play in WC T20I thus it can be said the Next Day of England vs India is going to an eye-catcher.

Virat Kohli said after losing the Toss “Same, we would’ve bowled first as well. But not too bad batting first as well, good opportunity to put a score. Ishant replaces Shardul, that’s the only change. We announced 12 within the group and Ashwin definitely was part of that. But this makes the most sense for us as a team. Everyone wants to contribute, it’s about getting into the game as a batsman.”

And As Virat Said they successfully managed to put a good score on the first day of the match, we can predict from just looking at the team that the Indian team is full of some deadly weapons thus they should be able to put a score of 370-420 runs to chase England for sure.
