Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni has garnered attention once again as a viral video of him smoking hookah circulates on social media, eliciting criticism from some fans for his sheesha indulgence.
Despite being recognized for his rigorous fitness training, which has enabled him to maintain his form in the fast-paced T20 cricket, Dhoni, at 42, holds the distinction of being the oldest skipper in the IPL. Leading by example, he guided the franchise to their fifth title in the previous season, triumphing over the defending champions Gujarat Titans.
Upon investigation, it was revealed that the viral video is part of an advertisement, featuring the legendary skipper in a promotional role. Notably, actor Sunny Singh accompanies Dhoni in the video, and preceding this clip, Dhoni was spotted alongside rapper MC Stan.

Looking ahead to IPL 2024, MS Dhoni is gearing up for net practice as part of his preparation. Following CSK’s victorious campaign in IPL 2023, where they secured their fifth championship title, Dhoni underwent left knee surgery in Mumbai, addressing issues that affected his movement during the tournament, especially while running between the wickets. CSK’s preparatory camp in Chennai is anticipated to commence in the first week of March, according to statements by team management.
In the recent IPL Player Auction, CSK acquired six players, including Shardul Thakur, Rachin Ravindra, Daryl Mitchell, Sameer Rizvi, Mustafizur Rahman, and Aravelly Avanish Rao. The team is actively shaping its roster for the upcoming season.
