Indian cricketers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Mohammed Siraj were recently involved in a funny social media banter over biriyani.

Jaiswal started it with an Instagram story, “Dekho @mohammedsirajofficial bhai, masti apni jagah aur Biriyani apni jagah. Hyderabadi Biriyani kaun khata hai!” In that Instagram story, Jaiswal was showing a less-than-half plate of Biriyani and a Thums Up can was beside the biriyani plate.

Later, Mohammed Siraj joined in the banter with a hilarious response. On his Instagram story, Siraj wrote. “Thanks @yashasvijaiswal28 bhai for the biryani. Agli baar, asli biriyani bhejna. Hyderabadi biriyani.” The Indian pacer was sitting with a box-filled biriyani.

RCB joined the banter

Later, the IPL team Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) joined in the banter. RCB added fuel by posting the Instagram story of Siraj and captioning, “Miyan woke up and chose violence.”

Since IPL 2018, Mohammed Siraj has been serving for the IPL team Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Siraj is the third-most wicket-taker for RCB, as the right-arm pacer has picked up 83 wickets in 87 games.

During the IPL 2023, Siraj hosted a feast of Hyderabadi biriyani at his home for his RCB teammates. Virat Kohli and other RCB teammates enjoyed that special day.

The 30-year-old Siraj has played 27 Tests, 44 ODIs, and 16 T20Is for India. The right-arm pacer has picked up 74 Test wickets, 71 ODI wickets, and 14 T20I wickets.

Meanwhile, the youngster Yashasvi Jaiswal has shined in the early days of his international career. The 22-year-old left-handed opening batter has played nine Tests and 23 T20Is for India. Last March, Jaiswal became India’s second-fastest player to complete 1000 Test runs (16 innings).
