Gujarat Titans IPL 2024 Squad-Full Player List, Auction Purchases, Remaining Purse

Gujarat Titans made significant moves during the IPL 2024 auction in Dubai on Tuesday, December 19, acquiring a total of eight players to bolster their squad. The Ahmedabad-based franchise made substantial financial investments in key players, including Spencer Johnson, Shahrukh Khan, Umesh Yadav, and wicketkeeper Robin Minz.

In a competitive bidding war with Delhi Capitals (DC), the Titans secured the services of left-arm Australian pacer Spencer Johnson for a hefty ₹10 crore. Johnson, with a track record of 17 wickets in 20 T20 matches at an economy rate of 7.84, brings valuable experience from his stints in the Big Bash League and The Hundred.

Shahrukh Khan became another notable addition to the Titans’ lineup, acquired for ₹7.4 crore after a spirited bidding battle with Punjab Kings (PBKS). Umesh Yadav, the seasoned fast bowler, joined the squad for ₹5.8 crore following an intense bidding war involving Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and DC. The Titans also secured wicketkeeper Robin Minz for ₹3.6 crore.

Umesh Yadav, a former player for DC, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), has a commendable record with 136 wickets in 141 matches at an economy rate of 8.38. Despite a relatively quiet previous season with just one wicket in eight outings, Yadav showcased his prowess with 16 wickets in 12 matches during the 2022 season.

Gujarat Titans further strengthened their squad with the additions of promising players such as Sushant Mishra (₹2.2 crore), Kartik Tyagi (₹60 lakh), Azmatullah Omarzai (₹50 lakh), and Manav Suthar (₹20 lakh).Azmatullah Omarzai, a standout performer for Afghanistan in the 2023 ODI World Cup, showcased his all-round skills, accumulating 353 runs and claiming seven wickets in the tournament. In T20s, the 23-year-old has an impressive record of 588 runs and 59 wickets in 62 games.

Kartik Tyagi, with prior experience playing for Rajasthan Royals (RR) and SRH, brings his pace prowess to the Titans, having taken 15 wickets in 19 IPL games at an economy rate of 9.97. Additionally, Sushant Mishra, a promising medium pacer from Jharkhand, adds depth to the Titans’ bowling arsenal.
