While Shubman Gill’s century stole the spotlight, his opening partner, Sai Sudharsan, showcased his talent with a remarkable innings of his own. Gill was struggling in the last few matches, but today he was batting like a man possessed. He scored 35(16) in the powerplay and 58(28) in the middle overs but slowed down as he neared his century, scoring 11(11) in the death. Nonetheless, he ended up with a strike rate of 189.09, while Sudharsan ended with a strike rate of 201.96.
