When a long-haired young man from Jharkhand hit big shots back-to-back in Team India colors, several rumors were spreading even faster than his lightning-fast over boundaries. That young man becomes one of India's most successful captains of all time, and still he is doing well enough with bat and pad at the age of 43.
When MS Dhoni first marched onto the international stage, time was different then; the internet was not so popular and accessible back in 2004. That was the era of television and print. But rumors need no particular medium to shadow a reality.
People often wondered how Dhoni was able to hit with so much power! Years ago, some thought that the right-handed batter definitely added something special to his daily meal, probably 5 liters of milk on a daily basis!

Now it's 2025, and Mahi himself still remembers those rumors about him. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) shared a video of an interaction program where you can see the CSK skipper break his silence about a couple of rumors; one is obviously about that '5 liters of milk' rumor.
In response, Dhoni spoke with his natural smile, "I used to drink maybe a liter of milk, you know, spread throughout the day. But four liters, you know, is a bit too much for anyone."
The former team India skipper also broke his silence about the lassi rumor. Taking a step further, some people even believed that he, Dhoni, made lassi by using a washing machine!
