Even though Virat Kohli is known as a “Delhi boy,” he rarely plays in the national capital. On the eve of the second match in the series against Australia, the dependable batter was observed at the Arun Jaitley Stadium prior to the second Test between India and Australia.

Fans gathered to catch a glimpse of the local boy who went on to achieve unimaginable heights in the cricket world as Kohli drove out of the stadium in his poshce car.

Kohli had previously announced in an Instagram story that he would be traveling by car to the Arun Jaitley Stadium

Kohli moved to Mumbai in 2016 after being born and raised in Delhi. Since then, he hasn’t been seen much in the national capital.

In 2015, Kohli made a famous appearance in Delhi when he scored 44 and 88 in his first Test match as India captain on his home ground against South Africa. He scored a staggering 243 runs in a single innings of a Test match against Sri Lanka just two years later.

The former India captain has only played in one match at the venue since December 2017, and that was an ODI against Australia in 2019.

Kohli would be determined to end this drought in his home stadium, even if it meant playing against a team he enjoys playing against and anticipating a triple-digit score in the game’s longest format.
