The renowned Indian cricketer Rohit Sharma is now the fastest opener to achieve 9000 runs in One Day Internationals (ODIs), having done so in just 181 innings, thus proving that he is one of the world’s best batsmen. Om Sharma broke the record previously held by Sachin Tendulkar (197 innings), Sourav Ganguly (231 innings), Chris Gayle (246 innings), and Adam Gilchrist (253 innings) in his efforts.
