No Jasprit Bumrah in the series and Varun Chakravarthy's Impact:
The biggest talking point from the squad announcement is the absence of Jasprit Bumrah. Though there is no official confirmation about an injury, sources indicate that the team management wants to manage his workload ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy. In his absence, Harshit Rana will have an opportunity to impress at the international level.
Varun Chakravarthy, a spinner, has been surprise entery into the Indian team, probably to contain dissmissal of England's batting order. He adds an additional mystery spin option besides Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel and Washington Sundar.
