The U19 women's cricket team of India made history by winning the U19 Women's T20 World Cup for the second consecutive time. The young team played well in all the matches of the tournament and won the trophy with a strong victory in the final match.
Good Beginning of the Tournament
It was held in Malaysia, and India played within Group A. Their matches were against West Indies, Malaysia, and Sri Lanka.
The first match for India was very successful. They defeated West Indies on January 19, 2025.
Second Match: Against Malaysia on January 21, left-arm spinner Vaishnavi Sharma was a star with 5 wickets for just 5 runs, which included a hat-trick. This helped India to dismiss Malaysia for 31 runs and win by 10 wickets.
Third Match: India played against Sri Lanka on 23rd January. Opener Gongadi Trisha made a sparkling knock of 49 runs and India reached a total of 118/9. Then the bowlers enforced a total restriction over Sri Lanka, bringing down them to 58/9; so in fact, India won by 60 runs. Also, they ended that as group topper in Group A

Super Six Stage- Dominating
After advancing to the Super Six stage, India continued their marvelous performance:
They won big against Bangladesh and Scotland, and thus entered the semi-final.
Their bowlers and batters complemented each other in maintaining their winning streak.
Semi-Final: A Challenge
In the semi-final, India was to face a very strong South African team. But the Indian players played in a great team spirit. The bowlers kept South Africa's batters under pressure, and the batters chased the target with patience, taking India to the final match.
Final Match: India Creates History! Against South africa
The final was the biggest moment of the tournament.
