Ashwin added,

“No offense to Josh Hazlewood; he's a fantastic bowler. But if they had continued with the same attack, we would have won. Boland's round-the-wicket deliveries to our left-handers were a major factor.”

Scott Boland came into the team as a replacement for Josh Hazlewood after the first Test in Perth. He played the second Test in Adelaide, a day-night match, where Australia leveled the series 1-1 with Boland playing a crucial role. Although Boland was benched for the third Test in Brisbane, he returned to the playing XI after Hazlewood was officially ruled out due to injury.
