Ravi Bishnoi staggered everybody with a splendid piece of handling that procured him acclaim from experts and fans the same during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 match between Lucknow Super Giants and Punjab Kings in Mohali on Friday. Liam Livingstone slammed Avesh Khan hard through the point in the 15th over of PBKS’ innings.
Everyone was taken aback by his athleticism and the speed with which he was able to catch the ball.
Lucknow Super Giants defeated Punjab Kings by 56 runs in a high-scoring match here on Friday, posting the second highest total in IPL history thanks to a power-hitting masterclass by Marcus Stoinis and Kyle Mayers. Lucknow Super Giants defeated a wasteful Punjab Kings team with a score of 257 for five thanks to the brutal hitting of Mayers (54 off 24) and Stoinis (72 off 40).
Despite scoring at a decent rate and reaching 201 in 19.5 overs, Punjab remained behind in the game and required nearly 13 runs per over to complete an unlikely chase.
Atharava Taide batted well and scored 66 runs off 36 balls, his first IPL fifty or more, but Liam Livingstone (36 runs off 22 balls) and Sikandar Raza (23 runs off 14 balls) couldn’t stay long enough to put pressure on the opposition. On his return, skipper Shikhar Dhawan only played two balls. With figures of 4/37 in four overs, young pacer Yash Thakur was the most successful bowler.
While Punjab Kings suffered their fourth defeat in eight games, it was LSG’s fifth victory in eight games. At 152 for four in 15 overs, Punjab were scoring more than 10 runs per over, but even Livingstone and Sam Curran (21 off 11) couldn’t get another 106 runs from the last 30 balls.
