The IPL 2024 Final was a one-sided affair, with the Kolkata Knight Riders securing a dominant eight-wicket victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad. SRH opted to bat first after winning the toss, but their innings crumbled under the pressure exerted by KKR’s bowlers. None of the Hyderabad batters managed to surpass the 25-run mark, leading to a meager total of 113 all out.
Chasing the target, KKR appeared untroubled despite losing Sunil Narine in the second over. Venkatesh Iyer and Rahmanullah Gurbaz formed a solid partnership, adding 92 runs for the second wicket. Iyer’s unbeaten 52 off 26 balls guided KKR to a comfortable victory, securing the IPL 2024 trophy and marking their third IPL title. As another IPL season comes to a close, let’s review the complete list of award winners and the prize money distributed after the final of this T20 extravaganza.
