Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) secured their third Indian Premier League (IPL) title by defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 8 wickets in the final showdown at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Chasing a modest target of 114 runs, the Shreyas Iyer-led side delivered a commanding performance, clinching victory in just 10.3 overs.
In a remarkable display of consistency and brilliance, Virat Kohli became the first Indian cricketer to win the Orange Cap more than once in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Despite Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) falling short of their title dreams, Kohli’s stellar performance stood out, making him the season’s top run-scorer with 741 runs in 15 matches.

Ruturaj Gaikwad, stepping into the captaincy role for Chennai Super Kings (CSK), amassed 583 runs in 14 matches. His mature approach and leadership were pivotal despite CSK’s exit from the playoffs.
