Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are gearing up to play their 250th match in the Indian Premier League (IPL) today against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.
In the 17 seasons of IPL, RCB has never clinched the IPL trophy, and unfortunately, their quest for the title seems likely to continue for another year. Currently, RCB are struggling at the bottom of the table with only 2 points from eight matches.
Today’s match marks a significant milestone for RCB, as they have reached three IPL finals in the past but ended up losing each time. Despite their consistent performances, RCB has only made it to the playoffs eight times in the last 16 seasons. Their first final appearance was in 2009, followed by another in 2011. Their most recent final was in 2016, where they faced defeat against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Looking at RCB’s IPL match records and stats, they have played a total of 249 matches so far. Out of these, they have won 117 matches and lost 128, with four matches ending without a result. They have tied a match thrice, winning two in the Super Over while losing one.
