The clash between Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad promises an exciting battle between two former champions of the IPL in the second encounter of Super Saturday. KKR, with its rich history, has faced recent struggles in the IPL, failing to maintain consistency despite winning titles in the past. Sunrisers Hyderabad have won the toss and have opted to field
Shreyas Iyer’s leadership skills and batting prowess present a fresh perspective for KKR. His return from injury and solid performances in domestic cricket hint at a promising season ahead. Gautam Gambhir’s return to KKR brings renewed hope and belief to the franchise. His previous success with the team adds to the anticipation of a resurgence.

SRH, despite past successes, has been seeking redemption in recent years. With a revamped squad and a new captain, they aim to reclaim their position at the top. Pat Cummins, the Australian stalwart, takes on the role of captaincy for SRH, bringing his wealth of experience and leadership qualities to the team. As Cummins took over from the helm Aiden Markram, not everyone took it well. Markram, after all, has led SRH’s sister franchise the Sunrisers Eastern Cape to the SA20 title last month, while Cummins is yet to prove his mettle as a T20 captain. But when you’re coming off a year quite like Cummins, everything you touch tends to turn to gold. And that’s exactly the philosophy SRH have stuck by. SRH boasts a well-balanced squad with the addition of key players like Glenn Phillips and Travis Head. The team’s blend of experience and youth signals a competitive season ahead.
Pat Cummins: We gonna have a bowl, wicket looks pretty good. Jansen, Klaasen and Markram are the other three. This is my first game for Sunrisers, it’s been awesome in the camp to the lead-up and the confidence is really high in the group.
Shreyas Iyer: Feel fantastic (talking about his recovery from back injury). I have been training well and played a few games as well. The spinners have been bowling tremendously over the past few seasons and all of them are lethal in their own way. I see a bit of dryness on this wicket and hopefully it will help them. Salt, Narine, Russell and Starc are playing today.
