Continuing his devastating form, Yadav next targeted LSG captain KL Rahul. By bowling a sharp flipper outside off-stump, Yadav induced a thin edge from Rahul’s bat, which was brilliantly caught by Rishabh Pant behind the stumps.
Kuldeep Yadav’s ability to mix up deliveries like the googly and the flipper makes him a formidable opponent in T20 cricket. His tactics not only involve spinning the ball but also varying his pace and flight, creating doubts in the batsman’s mind.
The Delhi Capitals’ players and coaching staff were visibly thrilled with Kuldeep’s performance. Captain Rishabh Pant praised Kuldeepβs ability to deliver under pressure and highlighted how crucial he is to the team’s strategy. LSG scored 167/7 in 20 overs.
Yadavβs spell was pivotal. His three wickets in two overs drastically shifted the momentum towards Delhi, putting the Lucknow Super Giants under significant pressure early in the game. Kuldeep hasn’t played the last two matches, but in the first three matches, his scoring was 4-0-20-2, 4-0-41-1, and 4-0-20-3, respectively.
