IPL 2025 match 18 was played between CSK vs DC which was a one-sided affair for the Kings against the Delhi side, where Axar Patel won the toss and elected to bat first. Once again there was uncertainty will Captain Ruturaj would play the match due to some nigle, and Dhoni would be captaining the side. But all the speculation was sidelined when Ruturaj came for the toss. Delhi's start was not up to the mark where they lost Jake Fraser in the second ball of the innings. 

But soon Delhi Capitals recovered well with Abhishek Porel and KL Rahul partnership, though Porel couldn't stay long but did his job well the rest of, the batsman too steadied the innings where Rahul played till deep end and scored a well made 77 runs and Delhi posted the total of 183 with the loss of 6 wickets. Then came the chase for CSK which had its twists and turns.

CSK were never in the Chase

CSK's reply was very medical though they had the worst-ever season where they were on the verge of losing the third match of the season playing 4 matches, CSK's batting has been really mediocre this season they would have been in deep trouble at their first match itself they were at the closure thats why they could able to chase the target. But from the next game onwards it was all specified around and it was all in a lost cage. 

Last two matches the intent for the batting was completely lacking and the batsman wasn't able to put up a fight. However in today's match, there happened a moment where CSK lost their two wickets then Starc delivered a peach delivery to Vijay Shankar, the ball hit straight to the toe but behind the stump was Abhishek Porel who was standing behind the stump sisignalledhat the contact was with the bat and the review was not taken.

After that incident time out was taken and in between the time it was shown that KL Rahul had been replaced as the wicket-keeper it was assumed that Abhishek Porel's big blunder behind the stumps made Axar Patel change the keeper to avoid further mistakes, it created a wholesome news whether Abhishek Porel mistake costed his wicketkeeping career but it was not like that what you see. 
Actually from the start KL Rahul who is the regular keeper for Delhi Capitals was not on the ground he was out for some time and after the time out he was back to his work.
