Delhi Capitals(DC) will play against Kolkata Knight Riders(KKR) in the forty-eighth match of IPL 2025 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi. KKR won the title last season, while DC just missed the playoffs in IPL 2024.
When they last played these two teams, KKR easily won against DC, chasing down the target without any trouble. Now with the match in Delhi in IPL 2025, DC will take revenge in IPL 2025. Currently, DC sits in the fourth spot in the points table and has won six wins from nine matches, while KKR is in seventh, having three wins from nine games they have played so far in the tournament. Although the teams are even on points DC currently has the advantage with a better net run rate, as well as an extra game remaining.
Ashutosh Sharma: A talented batter who can come in if Delhi Capitals lose early wickets while batting first or need quick runs when chasing a big score. He showed his skills by scoring 66 runs against LSG after coming in as a substitute in the first match. In the last match against GT, he bowled two overs and took 0 wickets, conceding 28 runs. Last time he played against RCB, he scored 2 runs in 3 balls.
Dushmantha Chameera: The Sri Lankan fast bowler can move the new ball and would be a good option to bring in during the second innings if the pitch is helping the pacers. But for that to happen, Delhi Capitals need to start with only three overseas players in their playing XI. In the last match against RCB, he bowled three overs and took 1 wicket, conceding 24 runs.
Mohit Sharma: The experienced fast bowler can be a substitute when the team is bowling second, especially if the pitch is good for pacers. He has taken 134 wickets in 119 IPL matches. In the last match against GT, he bowled two overs and took 0 wickets, conceding 28 runs.
Karun Nair: A classic top-order batter who can step in if Delhi Capitals lose early wickets and need extra batting power. He can also be used in the second innings by replacing a bowler if the team is in trouble. Last time he played against RCB, he scored 4 runs in 4 balls.

Chetan Sakariya: Although Harshit Rana has done well in the death overs, he’s had some trouble during the powerplay. This might give Chetan Sakariya a chance to step in as a left-arm seamer.
Angkrish Raghuvanshi: A young talent for KKR, Angkrish Raghuvanshi has been showing promise with some strong performances. The 20-year-old batter is in great form and has made the most of his chances this season. Last time he played against GT, he scored 27 runs in 13 balls.
Rovman Powell: If the team needs someone to hit big, Rovman Powell could be the right choice, especially with Andre Russell and Rinku Singh not in the best form lately.
Vaibhav Arora: A pacer who can swing the ball, Vaibhav Arora could be brought in as an impact player in the second innings if the pitch favors fast bowlers. He bowled key powerplay overs against SRH, though the ball didn’t swing much there. In the last match against GT, he bowled 4 overs, took 1 wicket, and had an economy rate of 11.00.
