Delhi Capitals(DC) will play against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the fortieth match of IPL 2025 at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. Both failed to qualify for the playoffs in the IPL 2024.
Sameer Rizvi: A very talented batter from Delhi Capitals. If, DC loses early wickets while batting first or needs big hits during a run chase.
Karun Nair: A consistent classic batter, if DC needs extra batting support after early wickets or replaces a bowler in the second innings. Last time he played against LSG, he scored 15 runs in 9 balls.
Abishek Porel: A very talented batter from Delhi Capitals. If DC loses early wickets while batting first or needs big hits during a run chase. Last time he played against LSG, he scored 51 runs in 36 balls.
Mohit Sharma: An experienced pacer with 124 IPL wickets, he can be the best useful substitute when bowling second, especially if the pitch helps fast bowlers. In the last match against GT, he bowled two overs and took 0 wickets, conceding 28 runs.
Mukesh Kumar: A talented bowler, in his last match against the LSG, he bowled four overs, conceding 43 runs at an economy rate of 8.25 and took four wickets.

Swapnil Singh: A left-arm spinner who did well last season, taking six wickets in seven games. The left-arm spinner can also play with the bat in lower down the lower order.
Suyash Sharma: A leg spinner who might come in if the pitch helps spinners. In his last match against the RR, he bowled four overs, conceding 31 runs at an economy rate of 7.75.
Mohit Rathee: A middle-order batter and leg spinner. In his last two domestic T20 matches, he scored 54 runs and took one wicket.
Rasikh Salam: A talented bowler who featured for Delhi Capitals last season. In his last match against the Gujarat Titans, he bowled three overs, conceding 35 runs at an economy rate of 11.67.
Devdutt Padikkal: A classic left-hand batter from India, in the past few seasons in IPL, his performance has not been good, but in IPL 2025, in the mega auction, RCB bought him. In the last match against RR, he scored just 50 runs in 27 balls.
