IPL 2025 match 17 will be played between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK), which is scheduled to commence at 3.30 pm at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chepauk. DC are on a cruise of winning rides where they have won both of their matches played against quality teams like Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). Delhi's first match itself was high filtering drama against LSG, where their new captain Axar Patel won the toss against their previous captain Rishabh Pant.
LSG had a great start with the bat, where their batters scored 209 runs with the loss of 8 wickets. In the batting department, it was once again Nicolas Pooran and Mitchell Marsh who just thrashed Delhi bowlers all around the park. However, when DC came to chase, they had a dismal start to their innings. The Delhi-based franchise lost half of their side, but Ashutosh Sharma (66) and Vipraj Nigam (39) gave a great comeback which looked an impossible task for them. In the end, it was heroics from Ashutosh Sharma that helped DC cross the line in a nail-biting match with a monstrous six.

Delhi's second game was against the mighty SRH team where the match was commenced on Vishakapatnam where SRH captain Pat Cummins won the toss and chose to bat first. Though SRH batting has the firepower it has no consistency in that, in this match too they had a great start but they couldn't capitalise on it, losing the wickets at every phase of the game.
It was Aniket Verma's 73 runs that saved them, but Delhi's batting was far more than that, where they chased the target of 163 runs within 16 overs. Delhi's third match is against Chennai Super Kings, who had lost their two matches back to back against RCB and RR, so they will also come aggressively on them. In their last 30 outings, Chennai have won 19 times against Delhi Capitals, and Delhi Capitals have won 11 games against Super Kings. But if you look at the current form it edges Delhi more to win the game.
