With Vaibhav Suryavanshi's heroic innings, Rajasthan Royals' (RR) dream to qualify for the next round is still looking possible. Though they are currently in 8th place in the ten-team league, from there, primarily, it is looking not possible, but mathematically, Rajasthan Royals still can do it with all their guns out and a little bit of help from fortune.

They've so far played a total of 10 matches in IPL 2025 and won only 3, 2 points from each of the winning matches. RR is now left with four more group matches. If they want to qualify for the playoffs, they have to win all four and hope for the best from the other teams' results.

Rajasthan Royals' huge win over Gujarat Titans has improved their net run rate from -0.849 to -0.349. The former IPL champion franchise needs more big-margin wins from their remaining 4 games.

Rajasthan Royals' remaining 4 group matches:

- vs. Mumbai Indians

- vs. Lucknow Super Giants

- vs. Delhi Capitals

- vs. Chennai Super Kings

A slim line between possibility and reality

Rajasthan Royals now has 6 points; if they manage to win the rest of the 4, then they will have a total of 14 points. According to the current IPL 2025 points table scenario, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (14 points in 10 games), Mumbai Indians (12 points in 10 games), Gujarat Titans (12 points in 9 games), and Delhi Capitals (12 points in 9 games) are the first, second, third, and fourth teams, respectively, on the ladder; all these 4 teams have better net run rates than RR.

So first, the team from the Pink City must achieve a total of 14 points with an improved net run rate, and then they have to see how other teams, mostly the top 4 teams, are performing. If the teams like Delhi, Gujarat, and Mumbai drop their points in their upcoming matches, then Rajasthan Royals' possibility for a play-off spot will be closer to reality. The scenario is very stiff but not impossible.
