The Sunrisers Hyderabad batters achieved 162/5 when the Mumbai Indians selected to field first. The innings' top score belonged to Abhishek Sharma, who made a graceful 40 runs from 28 deliveries. Travis Head hit 28 runs from 29 balls, and Heinrich Klaasen scored 37 runs during their knock of 37 balls. The bowlers from Mumbai Indians managed restraint throughout the match—Will Jacks took 2 wickets while giving away only 14 runs in his 3 overs, followed by Jasprit Bumrah with 1 wicket and 21 runs in 4 overs and Trent Boult, who ended up with 1 wicket, conceding 29 runs.

Pat Cummins (SRH Captain): The team scored 162 runs, which he considered slightly short of expected against the challenging track conditions.
