Inaugural IPL champions Rajasthan Royals (RR), who also finished as the runners-up in the IPL 2022, were eliminated from the Qualifier 2 at the IPL 2024. 

RR started the IPL 2025 mega auction with a remaining purse of 41 crore, after retaining six players, five capped and one uncapped, for INR 79 crore.

Rajasthan Royals spent INR 12.50 crore for the Barbados-born English star pacer Jofra Archer. They also bought the players, like Tushar Deshpande, Wanindu Hasaranga, Maheesh Theekshana, Nitish Rana, Fazalhaq Farooqi, etc.
