In the 23rd match of the IPL 2025, Gujarat Titans vs Rajasthan Royals (GT vs RR) has been scheduled for Wednesday evening (April 9) at Narendra Modi Stadium (Ahmedabad).

Both teams will play their fifth match of the season. While Gujarat Titans have six points with three wins and one loss, Rajasthan Royals have four points with two wins and two losses. 

Apart from suffering a close 11-run home defeat against Punjab Kings in their season opener, Titans won all their last three games, and that too very comfortably. While they beat Mumbai Indians by 36 runs, they won by eight wickets and seven wickets against Royal Challengers Bengaluru and SunRisers Hyderabad, respectively. 

On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals had a tough start this season with a 44-run and eight-wicket defeats against SunRisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders, before Chennai Super Kings and Punjab Kings in their last two games by six runs and 50 runs, respectively.

IPL 2025, Match 23: GT vs RR - Playing XIs Status

Gujarat Titans are one of the strongest teams in the IPL 2025, who have most bases covered. While their top-order batters have performed really well, their middle-order batters have yet to face challenges this season.

With Jofra Archer having found his form back with the ball, Rajasthan Royals’ bowling unit seems more confident, and it has changed the body language of the team in their latest matches. RR top-order batting is the key that needs to perform consistently. 

Both teams are unlikely to make any special changes for this upcoming match.
