Every cricket-loving generation has their own cricket icons, from Kapil Dev to Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli... The list of Indian icon players will never end. The Indian Premier League, house of many budding talents, especially from Indian cricket, is where young players get chances to share the same dressing room with their idols— what an exhilarating moment for an upcoming player!
Like the previous IPL season, in this season too, several underrated batters and bowlers are utilizing the stage to showcase their capabilities. Punjab Kings player Suryansh Shedge is one of the lesser-known players from the domestic circuit who got the opportunity to participate in IPL 2025.
Unfortunately, his idols are from different teams, so Suryansh is yet to wait for his turn to share the same dugout with his legends. Shedge idolized former Indian skippers MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli as his two legends. Dhoni plays for Chennai Super Kings, Virat for Royal Challengers Bengaluru, and Suryansh Shedge for Punjab Kings, but the tournament is the same; every team, at least once, collide with each other.

The 22-year-old batting all-rounder cherished his dream with his presence of mind. Suryansh got both Kohli's and Dhoni's autographs on his PBKS jersey number 5. And obviously he didn't forget to take photos with his heroes; dreams come true for a cricket-loving fan of India.

Suryansh Shedge, so far in the ongoing IPL 2025, has gotten multiple chances to prove his talent on the field for Punjab Kings. One of the key contributors to Mumbai's Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 title, yet to pull out his best to justify his mastery in batting and bowling. In 2 innings with PBKS, Shedge scored only 6, a 3.00 batting average. It'll be interesting to see who is able to bounce back from this bad patch.
