Rajasthan Royals' campaign started with a downfall where they lost both their games played against SRH and KKR. Rajasthan Royals regular captain Sanju Samson will be playing as pure batter as he is recovering from the thumb injury which he struck against England T20 series where an Archer pin pointer struck his hand. He had a minor injury for that which isn't that series though to keep things moving smoot-smoothly decision was taken by him
Rajasthan would be playing their three home games at Guhwati to promote cricket to the northeastern side of the state. So Ryan Parag was chosen to lead the team for the three matches where there were different opinions around people stating promoting him is BCCI art. RR is in a difficult situation as they have to win this match and none better than Chennai Super Kings who had lost their second match against RCB that too in their own home ground.

The Fiery Contest Between These Two Teams
Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings have an equal battle ratio between them, in their 29 matches content CSK have won 16 times and Rajasthan have won 13 times so there is no mere difference between them both the teams have given tough competition to each other. But this time these two teams are in a desperate situation and that too RR would be in massive trouble if they didn't win the next game. 
Rajasthan's first match against SRH proved that there are problems for them in the bowling department where they mostly rely on Archer who is their premium bowler, but he was the most expensive bowler in that match. Though Rajasthan tried their level best to chase the target but were 50 runs short of it. In the second match against KKR their batting and bowling both failed miserably while batting first they just scored 152 and Kolkata chased the target easily.

Riyan Parag's captaincy has been acquired as a mixed review though he handles the game well as a batter captaincy is far away, though RR has a good matchup  against CSK so it will be a great contest between these two teams. Well CSK too had their body down as they played their last game miserably they too have to check on their combination otherwise it will be difficult for them to survive.
