IPL 2025, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), Rishabh Pant: When Lucknow Super Giants put out their checkbook for a whopping Rs 27 only for Rishabh Pant, it was like something out of the blue. Rishabh Pant at Sanjiv Goenka’s LSG, replacing Lokesh Rahul. From that moment at the auction day, expectations rose high like temperature in summer. In reality, till now, Rishabh Pant’s bat remains as cold as ice. Cricket fans are speculating: what is the price each ball Pant is facing for LSG? What is the cost for Pant’s every single run?

Rishabh Pant, today (April 1), scored only 2 runs for 5 balls before he went back to the pavilion against Punjab Kings. In the previous match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Pant played 15 balls and scored 15 runs; against Delhi Capitals, Pant played 6 deliveries and went for a duck. So far, in total, the Indian star wicketkeeper-batter has faced 26 balls in three matches and made only 17 runs—17 runs, 26 balls for now from a Rs 27 Cr player.
Now, if we calculate the whole amount Pant got from the auction with every run and every delivery with his name so far as an LSG player, the result is approx. Rs 1.59 Cr for each run he made and almost 1.03 Cr per ball he faced.
Indian cricket fans are well aware of what happened in the last IPL season between Sanjiv Goenka and their then skipper, KL Rahul, on the field. It was clear that Goenka was clearly not happy with Rahul’s on-field performance. Now, what about Rishabh Pant? There are plenty of matches yet to be played; in the meantime, Pant has to justify his talent and the amount he received from the LSG auction table.
