During the 36th match of the IPL 2025, the Rajasthan Royals cricketer Vaibhav Suryavanshi created history after he was named in the impact sub list for his team in their home match against Lucknow Super Giants on Saturday evening (April 19). He can be the youngest cricketer in IPL history.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi has already gained popularity by becoming the youngest player to be named in IPL auction history as well as the youngest player to get and win a bid in IPL auction history, while he was just 13 years old. During the IPL 2025 mega auction, Rajasthan Royals won his bid for INR 1.10 Crore.

At the age of 14 years and 23 days, Vaibhav Suryavanshi has been named among the Rajasthan Royals' impact subs in their home IPL 2025 match against Lucknow Super Giants. If he has been used in the playing squad, he will be the youngest player in IPL history after breaking Prayas Ray Barman's record. During the IPL 2019, he created history by making his IPL debut at the age of 16 years and 157 days.
Making his first-class cricket debut for Bihar at the age of 12 years, Vaibhav Suryavanshi became the fourth youngest cricketer to make a Ranji Trophy debut. In December 2014, the 13-year-old also became the youngest player to play a List A cricket match.
The left-handed batter Vaibhav Suryavanshi has played five first-class matches, six List A games, and one T20, while he scored 100, 132, and 13 runs, respectively. In List A cricket, he has recorded one half-century by scoring 71 off 42 balls as an opener against Baroda, where he hit eight fours and four sixes. As a left-arm spinner, he has also taken one first-class wicket.
During the ACC U19 Asia Cup 2024, Vaibhav Suryavanshi was the second most run-scorer for India U19 with 176 runs in five innings (average 44.00 and strike rate 145.45). He scored two half-centuries in that tournament, including his highest score of 76 not out.
Last September, during a four-day game against Australia U19 in Chennai, Suryavanshi slammed a 58-ball century, as he scored 104 off 62 balls with 14 fours and four sixes.
In a Randhir Verma Tournament match, which is a U19 cricket tournament in Bihar, Suryavanshi slammed a triple century by scoring 332 not out.
